Yesterday was a “sleep in” day, meaning I slept until 7am instead of 6:30am. I’m telling you, that half hour makes all the difference. Although, truth be told, I didn’t get out of bed until closer to 7:40am… I gave up my hot lemon water for some extra beauty rest. Worth it.
Lunch was leftover lettuce wrap filling on a bed of greens. I could have eaten the filling straight up, but we had a small bag of romaine to use up, so I threw that along with some Trader Joe’s Goddess dressing into my lunch bag.
After lunch, Andrew and I went for a walk and stumbled across this gem:
In celebration of the Blu-Ray and DVD release of Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel, 9 Elite lego builders spent 575 hours building this mini Grand Budapest (Lego) Hotel. They used over 50,000 legos. Random, yes. Impressive, sure!
(Here’s a close up of the greenhouse down in front. The little benches are pretty adorable.)
(Green tea, fruit, almonds w/ dark chocolate chips)
After work, Andrew and I hit the gym where I focused on arms (after a quick jump rope warm up) and then ended with a couple miles on the treadmill. My fitbit flower was pleased with me, as I passed my step goal by 1,600 steps. Score!
(Not a photo of my actual fitbit – I did not have the foresight to take a picture last night, but I have learned my lesson.)
I’ll go into more detail about why I love my fitbit later, but one of the reasons I chose the One over their other models was the progress display, which is a flower that grows according to your recent activity. The Zip gives you a smiley face that gets more and more smiley(…?) the more active you are, and the Flex and the Ultra just use a series of dots. Flower, smiley or dots? No competition.
On the way home from the gym, I realized that according to our meal plan, dinner was supposed to be the leftovers that I ate for lunch (my bad), so we “had to” stop at Mendocino Farms. I love their Vegan Schwarma and can’t actually remember the last time I didn’t order it. I really need to work on branching out at restaurants. Next time!
Have a great Wednesday!
