Thursday Tradition: Santa Monica Beach Picnics

Can you guess what I did last night?

Yep, you guessed it. Andrew and I hopped on our bikes and pedaled over to our second pier concert of the season. Per usual, I couldn’t tell you who the musical guests were, but we had a great time, regardless.

We stopped at Lemonade again to grab a couple salads for our picnic. This time we loaded up on last week’s favorite, curried squash with corn nuts. Sounds weird, but the corn nuts are the best part about the salad.  Perfectly cooked squash with crunchy bits = winner.  I also got a roasted sesame carrot salad that was a nice addition.  Also fun that my whole dinner was orange.

Another spectacular sunset during our bike ride.

And an almost full moon.  Are you guys ready for the “Supermoon” this weekend?  This Sunday, the earth will be at its closest distance to a very full moon.  Apparently, the best time to get a look at it is right after sunset.  I plan to have my eyes peeled.

As always, I had a great night with my guy.  Beach picnics with live music is a pretty amazing Thursday tradition to have.
