What I Ate Wednesday #7: Still Detoxing

Today marks my 7th What I Ate Wednesday and my 4th Day of Detox. It’s also the last Wednesday in August, which is kinda nuts. Where has this year gone?

WIAW

8:00am – Hot water w/ lemon

9:00am – Bulletproof coffee

12:30pm – Leftover brown rice with sauteed veggies (zucchini, onion, asparagus) and roasted chickpeas

3:30pm – White peach and Flavor Queen pluot, shared with Andrew

5:30pm – Raw almonds

8:00pm – BBQ’d chicken drumsticks w/ roasted sweet potatoes and side saladssalad

WORKOUT

Once again, Andrew and I just weren’t feeling the gym. Not yet, at least.  The first week back from vacation is exempt from the gym, right? We’ll ramp back up with home workouts this week and hit it hard at LA Fitness after the long weekend.  Or maybe even Saturday… I love Saturday gym workouts, but I digress!

After 30 minutes on the elliptical, I did THIS Pumps&Iron arm workout.  Sore arms today = satisfying.

Detox check points:

Greens – Greens for lunch and greens with dinner. Nailed it.
Water consumption – So far, it’s been pretty easy to reach my water goals this week. I’ve been constantly thirsty.  I guess I’m still making up for the past two weeks of drinking primarily coffee and wine.  Talk about dehydration.
Sugar intake – Happy to say the only sugar I ate yesterday was the natural kind found in fruit.
Alcohol – No way, Jose Cuervo.
