News flash: Today is Wednesday. Sometimes Wednesday is a good thing and sometimes it’s a bad thing. Wednesday is a good marker for how fast the week is going. This week is not going as quickly as I’d like it to, so in this case my sentiments fall into the category of “oh, it’s only Wednesday?”
Ok, snap out of it! We’ve already survived Monday and Tuesday. And speaking of Tuesday, here’s a peak at what I ate…
9:00am – 16oz of Water – Last week I was trying to get into the habit of drinking 8oz first thing in the morning at work. Well, I’ve upped it to 16oz and I’m still going strong.
9:30am – Small soy latte with an extra shot of espresso from the cafe downstairs. When you’re running behind in the morning and trying to get out the door on time, coffee prep is one of the first things to go.
12:15pm – Lunch: Plain Greek yogurt with 1 T chia seeds, strawberries, sunflower seed butter, and granola.
3:30pm – Green Tea
5:40pm – Handful of raw almonds
After work, Andrew and I were SUPPOSED to go to the gym… however, our good friends who live down the street just brought home a new puppy so CHANGE OF PLANS. Puppy visit!
UGH. She is beyond adorable. I kept saying she looks just like a stuffed animal. She’s a “cockapoo” – cocker spaniel / poodle mix – hypoallergenic, tiny, and so cute. At full size, she’ll be around 20 lbs.
9:30pm– We had a nice dinner planned: Spaghetti Squash with homemade bolognese sauce & a kale salad; however, our puppy visit ran a bit longer than expected so we took a rain check on the squash. Instead, I stacked a fried egg on an English muffin and topped it with some bolognese sauce Andrew made over the weekend. Not bad for a dinner thrown together in under 10 minutes.
WORKOUT – Yeeaaahhh… that didn’t happen.
