Somewhere around 99% of the population will always hate Mondays, but I’ve come to the conclusion that the degree to which you hate Mondays is directly correlated to the degree to which you hate your Monday-Friday job.
Before I quit my job, Monday was easily the worst day of the week. It was hard to get out of bed in the morning, the workday dragged on forever, and a trip to the gym after work was the LAST trip I wanted to make.
Miraculously, when I left my corporate cubicle job, I also left behind my severe hatred of Mondays. Funny how things change.
Now that I don’t dread the start of each work week, my Sunday evenings are actually enjoyable and relaxing (swap out 2 hours of working on your laptop for an evening bath and you’d be relaxed, too). Getting a full night’s rest leads to an easy rise Monday morning, followed by a pleasant and productive day.
And guess what the best part of Monday is now: my workout. I know! It’s shocking and bizarre, but it’s true. You can’t lie on the internet. It used to take me until Tuesday to muster up the motivation to hit the gym, but for the past two weeks I’ve had my best workouts on Monday.
The point is I had a great workout yesterday and I want to share it with you!
I did this workout at my gym, but none of these exercises require fancy gym machines. If you don’t have access to gym equipment (dumbbells & barbells), you can use any heavy objects around the house. See below for descriptions of each exercise.
I happen to know that Kevin (left) is about 10 lbs and Kevin (right) is about 14lbs
