Friday at last!
This week was a long one, but we made it. I spent most of my time studying, running, writing and baking so I definitely cannot complain! Let’s keep the positive energy flowing by moving right along into Friday Favorites. It’s always fun to take a couple minutes to reflect on the week, focusing on the things that stood out in a good way.
Strawberries – Fruit seems to make the Friday Favorites list almost every week, which isn’t shocking considering that my Instagram account was strictly fruit for the first several years. The strawberries from last Sunday’s market were out of this world. I’m hoping it wasn’t a fluke and that they’ll be just as sweet again this week.
Sliced with some greek yogurt, sunflower seed butter, and hemp hearts. Yum.
Meeting Baby Noa – Our good friends and former neighbors, Pete and Katie, just popped out this little bundle of joy. He’s a cutie, for sure.
Dave Chappelle’s secret show – Somehow Andrew was in the right place at the right time and managed to score some tickets to Dave Chappelle’s secret comedy show last night.
Seeing Dave live was something that had been on Andrew’s bucket list for a while, and I’m not one to turn down a stand-up comedy show. Dave did not disappoint. Our faces hurt from laughing.
Yoga Class – As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I’m trying to avoid running on consecutive days in order to keep my muscles happy, so a yoga class sounded like the perfect rest day activity. I hadn’t been to class in a while and it felt so good to stretch everything out.
This is the beauty that I was greeted with after class. Sometimes I love LA.
The Five Things I’m Doing To Prepare For My First 5k was the most popular post on Amy M4gic this week.
By the way, I believe there is still time to register if anyone is interested in joining Andrew and I for the Hot Chocolate 15k/5k in San Diego. There’s going to be free hot chocolate at the end of the race. Just saying.
