It feels like the weekend around here. Andrew has the day off and we have a house guest staying with us for the next few days, so basically the party starts now. Our guest, Dave (one of Andrew’s good friends from Toronto, who actually currently lives in London) brought some gorgeous weather with him. We’re hoping to take advantage of the next few 80-degree days with a hike and some happy hour action at the very least, and maybe a beachfront bike ride if we can swing it.
Friday #Favorites 3/6/13
I share these Friday Favorites with you guys on Fridays (duh), but I start thinking about them on Monday. Rather than blast out every random Buzzfeed list or cat-themed workout video I find when I find it, I save them all up to share in one post on Fridays. Although come to think of it, sharing random thoughts as they pop into my head is precisely what Twitter was invented for… Oh well. #socialmedia
Starting with some links from around the web:

Grass-Fed Butter Eaters Have Fewer Heart Attacks [Authority Nutrition] – I have organic, grass-fed butter in my coffee every morning. Don’t fear the butter, people!
These Corgis Feel Some Strong Feelings About The Snow [Buzzfeed] – Because I know a couple of you are in less-than-sunny climates right now.
This pre-run 180 At-Home Workout. I managed to get in a couple nice neighborhood runs this week, and I started with this leg circuit both times.
You guys really seemed to like this Lemon Blueberry Pound Cake, and I don’t blame you. That first loaf did not last long around here. I’m considering making another over the weekend.
Tequila cocktails. When you live in an apartment complex, you run the risk of having neighbors you may not love. Andrew and I totally lucked out in our current place, and happen to have some neighbors we really like. Our upstairs neighbors, Andy and Maria (and their two-year old Vivian), are a couple of cool cats. I see Maria and Viv regularly, for toddler+cat playdates, walks to the park, and this week for afternoon cocktails. Maria is the mastermind behind the creation below, which is a combination of tequila, fresh orange, lemon, ginger ale, and mint. Colorful, refreshing, and perfect for spring.
I think that large cocktail is a good note to end on. Have a great weekend!
Question: Any plans for the weekend?
